I Just Don't Get It

I am not sure that I will ever understand how the liberal agenda operates. In this editorial Kristof argues that Bush and other "idealists" should promote condoms and not abstinence to prevent the spread of HIV. Kristof argues that people will have sex irresponsibly so lets equip them to do the least amount of damage with it. OK Nicholas, people are always gonna hate others and seek power and poverty will always exist. So lets quit acting like we can secure everyone's rights and that we can eradicate poverty, lets just accept reality. I just don't get it. How can the liberal agenda be driven by such idealism and then turn around and worship pragmatism.

I don't care what Kristof says, abstinence is the only solution and to equip people to continue the propagation of devastating and sinful "freedoms" will only lead to the increasing degradation of humanity.
