Crabs, Coconuts and Eels...Oh my!

Crabs, or "cabs" as Caroline fondly called them, were absolutely everywhere. In every possible variety of shape and size you could imagine. Some were as small as a pin head while others were the size of your fist! We had to wear flip flops because they were all over the porch (and often tried to come inside!).
Coconut chopping!!
More coconut chopping!

So one morning while I was walking on the beach I spotted something unusual in the surf. Upon closer inspection, we discovered that it was a baby eel! It even had little teeth! I'm rather grateful it was a baby eel... With Nene's help I caught it in a sand bucket and brought it to the house for a little identification. We later took it back to a reef and let it go. Hope it made it to it's home!
