oops....

This is not a chocolate swedish tea ring. Prior to being transformed into a charcoal briquette, it was a mango passion fruit danish with toasted (now flambeed) coconut. I believe this is the first time I've ever done something like this: I tossed it in the oven to warm it up for company....and forgot about it. Entirely. For a few hours. The oven was on really low, so it just kinda slowly cooked itself into a charcoal brick. Like I said: oops! Oddly enough, that night our condo smelled kinda good--like teriyaki...but living in an old DC condo building, you never know if that just because our ventilation isn't great (I can always tell when our neighbors are cooking) or burned passion fruit actually smells good!
Next time: timer!!
